Winter Blue Bird

This is a little needle felted bird I did a few weeks ago.  Decided to make a small copper tree for it to rest in.  The leaves are white felt, and the tree sits in a wooden spool.  With a small bangle of beads just to the right of the bird, to off set the weight of the bird.  It balances rather nicely, in the end.  As long as I keep it up out of my cat, Busters line of sight, it's steady.  It's really amazing how a piece of soft fluffy wool can be sculpted into a form.

  1. Awesome!! I think we were both working on a blue bird project at the same time - spooky.
