Good Morning! Wow, July 14th already. The summer is in high gear, and I have been intently enjoying every glorious day of it!!
The other day I was in the studio and found these old photos. My Mom made these arrangements. She called them, "fur flowers".
She made them out of the fake fur, purchased at a craft store. She could cut, and swirl that flat piece of fluff into these lovely "space age" flowers. these were made back in the early 1970's.
The bases are made from driftwood that she collected up on the north shore of Lake Superior. She assembled the pieces, and lathered them with a high gloss sealer.
Then she made the arrangement to suit the base. The flowers also have little green feathers to represent leaves. Sadly, I don't think the little fur flowers survived the passage of time. However, she took alot of photos, and I am lucky enough to have those in the family archives.
